Nice book about Brigid for beginners. Mari Silva sometimes mixes up stories, for example that of the triple Brigid as three sisters and the story about the triple Brigid as Mother, Daughter and Wife (p.29).
Mari Silva also sees no similarities between the father of the Goddess Brigid (Dagda, among other things connected to Druidism) and the father of Saint Brigid (Dubthach, a Druid) but even mentions this as a difference between the two (p.25).
In Chapter 4, Mari Silva describes Brigid as a loa from Haitian Vodou: Maman Brigitte. Chapter 5 also discusses the animals associated with Brigid and Chapter 6 discusses how to celebrate Imbolc.
At the back of the book, there are largely references to websites as source material for the book. A somewhat superficial, quickly written book that adds nothing to what you can also read about Brigid in other books.
